The heavy rocks by our mother river
The yellow river museum designed by gmp international is inspired by the winding waterfront landscape, and the exterior design pays respect to the shape of Chinese character "ji" which is also the shape of Yellow River.
ATCHAIN was commissioned to create the project’s multimedia. The major massing of the building looks like a rock, which is "bred" from the embankment and mountains. The streamlined exterior design is integrated with the natural landscape. The polygonal small building massing slowly undulates and crosses the meanders in the park. The overall building design borrows the yellow rive’s"Ji" shape character, which is in harmony with the surrounding environment.
